FAQs

Do you take insurance? How much does therapy cost?

We currently take the following insurances: Alameda Alliance, Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross, Partnership Health Plan ("Medi-cal"). Not all our providers are in-network with all insurance plans. We are also not in-network with all plans under every company (For example, we do not take Blue Shield HMO plans). Please reach-out with your insurance details and we can help confirm our network participation.

All out therapists set their own per session cash fee, typically set on their location, expertise, licensure, and lived experience. If you will be paying cash, we will discuss individual therapist cash rates with you. Our cash rates currently range from $115 to $165 for individual therapy. We have limited sliding scale availability.

Where is your office?

The main Rhizome office is located at 822 G Street in Arcata, CA. Our office is on the second floor and there is a flight of 25 stairs, with no elevator. If this poses an access issue for you, please let us know so that we can meet in an alternate location, or via video. There are 2 all gender restrooms located on the same floor as our office.

Our second location is located at 2830 G Street, in Eureka. There is a bus stop 1 block from our office, and we have a parking lot, with free parking. The entire building is ADA accessible. Please let us know if you will need to use the elevator ahead of time to reach our second floor office, as it requires a key to operate. There are 2 gendered, single stall restrooms at this location.
